Drumline Ontario is a Canadian not-for-profit organization established to provide marching arts ensembles of every level the opportunity to improve, perform and compete at competitions in different events including DrumLine BattleTM, SoundSport®, WGI percussion, Exhibition, and Colour Guard.
The Preston Scout House Cadets were founded by the Preston Scout House Band in the fall of 2012 as one of several projects to help mark the group’s 75th anniversary in 2013. Since then, the Preston Scout House Drum & Bugle Corps has grown to approximately 34 musicians and colour guard ranging in age from 10-18 years. They continue to participate in several parades and special events in the surrounding Waterloo region.
As a not-for-profit organization that is a part of the Preston Scout House Band, the Preston Scout House Cadets accept youth regardless of musical level, skill or background. For an annual fee of $20, musical and marching instruction is provided with weekly rehearsals every Wednesday night at the Scout House Building and a local elementary school in Cambridge, Ontario. Their goal is for the participants to have fun, learn music/colur guard and keep the program accessible and affordable to everyone that would like to join.
The Scout House Cadets will be participating in the Victoria Parade in New Dundee on Monday May 23rd!
The Preston Scout House Cadets are currently looking for more brass players and colour guards.
