Scout House Band will use 2017 as a rebuilding year. The other Scout House groups will continue normally.

Scout House Band will use 2017 as a rebuilding year, with a regular rehearsal and performance schedule to resume in January, 2018.
All current Band members will continue to rehearse regularly in preparation for performances in street parades and concerts as the Silver Leaves ensemble and percussion accompaniment.

What is implied by “a rebuilding year”? Will there be no field show in 2017? Will there still be Thursday evening practices at The Bay during the summer, or will Sunday afternoon rehearsals continue through 2017? What is the status of the August Tattoo? I failed to attend any events or rehearsals last year, but hope to be able to pay at least one visit this year.

      Hi Gary,

Unfortunately there will be no field show in 2017 and no Tattoo in August of this year we hope to return next year! We are very excited to be putting together a large group of past and present Scout House Band members for the July 1st parade in downtown Preston to celebrate Canada’s 150th. We are currently running Sunday afternoon rehearsals for the Silver Leaves Brass ensemble and starting in May we will be running Sunday afternoon rehearsals to prepare for the July 1st parade. You are welcome to join us Sundays starting May 14th at the Knights of Columbus in Cambridge. Hope to see you there!
